For those not in the Dallas area, we have to just brag a bit about how truly amazing the community is here. It seems like everywhere you turn, there’s someone advocating to promote local and small businesses and their efforts certainly show in the growing success Dallas based companies have had in the past year.

This past Saturday, we had the amazing opportunity to have a booth at the very first vegan market V Market Dallas: a metroplex vegan pop-up market put on by two of our incredible friends and community leaders Katie Remis and Christina Bluford. With Katie being the founder of V Apparel and Christina as a local vegan chef at one of our favorite restaurants, Spiral Diner and food blogger for her blog Kind Gourmet, they both shared the strong passion for local vegan goods and bringing the community together in unique ways that truly sparked the creation of this wonderful event.

To say we were honored to be among so many other inspiring vegan vendors at the market would be an understatement. We not only got to sample and enjoy all of their unique products, but also hang out and get to know all of the cool business owners!

Here we are with another one of our good friends Adri De Urquidi Bastida with her local business, Good Temptations at the market!

It was a blast trying all the treats like Bourbon Smoked Black Pepper Jerky by Louisville Vegan Jerky Company and caramel marshmallow chocolate bars by Chocolate Inspirations that the V Market girls had at their booth!

One of our favorite parts was having a booth right next to Sugar Monkey Bakery so we could snag all of her adorable Easter themed treats before she sold out in no time!

We can’t rave enough about those butter cream filled chocolate eggs, meyer lemon cake parfait, and the beautiful white chocolate bunny that happens to be filled with rich peanut butter magic!

To say the least, we had the best time at V Market hanging out with new and old friends to share our vision behind the Harvest Hands while talking about our past and upcoming events while soaking up the amazing community vibes.

We can’t wait for the next one coming up in May! Hope to see you there!
